Pest control bookkeeping: make recurring billing easier to follow
Keep service agreements, customer invoices and payment records connected while your team handles the route.
Start with what the customer agreed to
Keep each customer’s service frequency, price and billing schedule in your records. Note approved changes and cancellations before the next bill. Separate an initial visit or extra treatment from recurring service when the agreement does.
Check invoices against payments
A customer list is not a payment report. Match payments to invoices, then compare payment-platform payouts with bank deposits. Review unpaid balances without assuming a late payment means the customer has refused to pay.
Business records are not pesticide compliance records
The IRS describes supporting records for business income, purchases and expenses. Keep supplier invoices and equipment receipts for the books. Bookkeeping does not replace pesticide-use records, licensing requirements or other regulatory obligations; check those separately with the relevant regulator.
Where Luxe fits
The Signature prepares unlimited invoices on an agreed schedule and reports payment status. Customers pay your business directly. We do not collect debts or provide pest-control compliance advice. Your monthly books give you organized records to share with your tax professional.
